The town\u2019s abundance of water is due to the presence of various springs, the most famous being that of Santa Scolastica, which gives rise to the river Follina. Water has always been of great importance for both the\u00a0 industrial and cultural development of the town, which drew its driving force and spiritual strength from this force of nature, demonstrated by the presence of several beautiful fountains within the Abbey.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div>\n
